Mother's Day Wishes

Happy Friday - I hope you all had a fabulous week!  This weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge was to make a Mother's Day Card.

I decided to ink up the Mother Sentiment from Stamping Bella and kept my card very clean and simple.  The image is inked with markers and regal rose ink and stamped onto bella's bestest cream cardstock.  The ds paper is basic greys Luscious layered on bermuda bay cardstock and kraft cardstock.  I added a layered wheel from basic grey that matches the cardstock and paper pierced around the layers of cardstock.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes creations & what the sistah's submitted to Em - leave a comment on Bloggabella to win some Bella Bucks!  Also don't forget to visit forumabella - it's full of inspiration  and tutorials & Jessabella is going to start hosting monthly challenges on there.

Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is Flowers - either in the image you choose or the paper. Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included & again you could win some bella bucks

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day!

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Happy Easter AND todays Sweet Sunday Sketch from Karen (SSSC114) marks 3 birthdays on the Sweet Sunday Stamper - Karen G, Vicki and Sarah Jane!!!  Lynn caught this and suggested we make our sketches birthday sketches - what a brilliant idea!!  How often do 3 amazingly talented women have birthdays on the same day?!

For my card I inked up one of my very neglected Bella stamps from Stamping Bella - Sneaky Sneak Birthday Bella.  I masked the presents that are on the stamp and placed the image where I needed to work with the sketch, then stamped the presents and used them as my embellishment.  Now apparently I flipped the sketch; this was not intensional; it was how it was sitting on my desk, and I didn't clue in that the words were going the wrong way!!   I paper pieced the couch and then the pillows to give some dimension to the image and used atyou spica pens to give the image some sparkle.  The ds paper is basic grey's Life of the Party.  I actually thought to decorate the inside of my card this week; mainly because I love the sentiment that comes with Sneaky Sneak Birthday Bella and had to use it!

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations, and don't forget to wish our birthday girls a great day!!  Remember if you play along with the sketch link your card on Karen's blog!

Happy Easter, and thanks for stopping by!

Free Form

Happy Good Friday to all of you!  This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme was free form - so I picked a stamp that was outside my "normal" box

I inked up one of Stamping Bella's new images Julie's Spring Butterflies.  This is the largest butterfly in the set and it is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  I used Jen's SKFYTT for April for my card.  I added a turquoise atyou spica pen along the lines and stripes to give it some sparkle.  On the dots I added some black rhinestones.    The DS paper is MME Ooh La La.  Only the centre of the butterfly is glued down so it is popped up off the paper

Stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes creations and remember to leave a comment you could win some bella bucks!  Next weeks theme is Mother's Day - email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included

Better Get Better

When I saw todays MFTWSC16 I knew I wanted to play along and which stamp I was going to ink up.  My hairdresser is having wrist surgery on Monday, so I made a card to leave with her when I get my hair done this week before her surgery.

I inked up MFT's Pure Innocence's Better Get Better and coloured the image with copics.  I paper pieced the bandages on the bear & the heart in her hair.  The ds paper is MME Stella & Rose Gertie and the card stock is chocolate chip & blush blossom (which I never use!!)  I used MFT's die-namics faux crochet border die and added some chocolate ribbon.  I used a clear glaze pen on her heart and her shoes.

Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!!

Wintery Sweet Sunday

Not the weather BUT the card is wintery!!  Ya never know here though!  Here's Karen's sketch (SSSC113)  for this week

For my card I decided to get a Christmas card made - otherwise I'll be in a lot of trouble come December!  I inked up A Snowman & a Cardinal by Mo Manning from Stamping Bella.  The image is on bella's bestest white cs and coloured with copics.  The ds paper is Crate Papers Snow day.  I embossed the cs with cuttlebugs snowflakes embossing folder and added a ghost snowflake and some clear rhinestones.  For the snow on the ground I used liquid applique and glitter.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs and remember to link you card on Karen's blog

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day

It's Sketch Time

Happy Friday - where the heck did this week go?!  This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme was a sketch by Lindabella

For my card I inked up a Tiddly Inks image - Alice.  The image is stamped onto bella's bestest cream cs and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the cup & her hands.  On the cup and her shoes I used a clear glaze pen for shine.  On her hairband I used a black glaze pen. The ds paper is MME Stella & Rose - Gertie which I added some stitching to.

Please make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the creations by the babes and sistahs, leave a comment & you could win some Bella Bucks!

Sweet Sunday Sketch 112

Happy Sunday!  I hope you're having a great weekend I'm so happy we are actually having spring like temps this week - no snow storm!  Because of these temps and the sun shining I'm feeling like spring and all the flowers & green that should be coming (as soon as the snow goes!)  Here's Karen's sketch for this week:

We needed a sympathy card for a friend of ours whose mother passed away last week - she was an amazing woman who would have been 97 this June, and was the oldest person to carry the torch last year for the Olympics!  Hubby & I were both honoured to spend time with this special lady so with her in mind I made this card

The image is from Stamping Bella called Flower Garden and it's stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with caran d'ashe pencils and mineral spirits.  In the centre of the flowers I added a little bit of glamour dust glitter.  On the old olive cardstock I used a birds and swirls cuttlebug folder.  I didn't add anything where the stars are; I just couldn't get anything to work with the tone of my card.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and remember to link your card on Karen's blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic Sunday - I'll be happily stamping (and skyping with my friend Leslie) and watching the Masters Golf; a perfect day!!

Monochromatic Bellariffic

Happy Friday - I hope you had a great week!  Did you see the release at Stamping Bella on Tuesday?! My order was done on Tuesday; can't wait for it to arrive!!

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme was Monochromatic which I usually find difficult but this week but because of these sweet new 3 Little Mermaids under the Sea it came together super easy!

The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the leaves and popped up the flowers and the star.  On the star I added some aqua stickles for shine.  In the centre of the flowers I used some teal rhinestones.  I even managed to find some matching thread to stitch around the bottom layer of my card.  The DS paper is from MME's Stella & Rose - hazel (yes I have an addiction to this line!!)

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see all the creations & make sure you leave a comment you could win some bella bucks.

Next weeks theme is a sketch!!  They are my favourite as you know & this one was created by the amazingly talented Lindabella

Thanks for stopping by,

Finally....

I was able to find some time and play along with MFTWSC14!!  I was so excited when MFT announced they would have weekly sketch challenges, but the last little while I haven't gotten my act together to play along - I hope I can keep up with playing along so my MFT stamps get some lovin'!

For my card I inked up the Sweet PI girl - You're so Tweet.  The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her dress, belt & heart (they are one piece I'm not that crazy to cut those out separately!!)  I stamped the image onto my circle base; which is from the ds paper by basic grey - hello luscious, and paper pieced the girl and the bird.  I added some black ribbon and some rhinestones from my stash.  I even put a sentiment on this one & I have to say I do like how "tweet" it turned out!

I hope you have a great day - they are using the "s" word in our forecast again today & I don't mean Sunshine!  Hopefully it will just be rain to help clear away all the snow from the weekend

Sweet Sunday Sneak Peek

Happy Sunday  - Karen has another fabulous  Sweet Sunday sketch for us this week (SSSC111)

For my card I'm excited to share with you a sneak peek of a new stamp from Stamping Bella (available on Tuesday)  This is one of 3 in a set of Baby Mermaids (part of the Green Bean Baby line) being released & I have to tell you the other 2 are just as cute; although I am partial to this ones hair!!  Jessabella will have a peek of another one (or 2?!) later in the week.

The image is on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her fin & added some glitter with an aqua spica pen.  For her flower and leaves I paper pieced it and only attached the centre so it pops up a little.  I then paper pieced the flower again for more dimension.  For her pearl I went with a pink atyou spica pen.  I added some prima flowers and rhinestones.  The ds paper is from MME Oh La La

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see what they have created and remember to link you card back to Karen's blog

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you have a fabulous Sunday; here we will be waiting for all the snow to stop and melt!!

April Showers....

When I made my page for April I went with the theme April Showers bring May Flowers.

HG Rain Rain digi from the Greeting Farm was perfect for this & being a digi I could make her the perfect size!!  The image is printed on neenah cs and coloured with copics.  I added some tiny rhinestones for the buttons on her coat and for the rain I used stickles.

SADLY here in Calgary this is what we woke up to - April SNOW showers!!!  Yep that's the view from my stamp room; it's suppose to snow & high winds all day  so all you girls with sunshine and hot temps I hope you're enjoying them!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day
