Fore your Birthday

I needed to make a birthday card for my hubby, and I must confess I don't have a lot of suitable "guy" images.  I went with a Mo Manning image that's available in rubbah from Stamping Bella

The only thing Hubby has in common with Big Guy Golfing is that he golfs.  I'm happy to say he doesn't dress like this or I wouldn't be golfing with him!!

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream cs and coloured with copics.  The dp (EP's This & That) inspired my colours for his vest & shirt.  For the grass I used pencils and OMS.  The golf ball is done with white liquid applique and left to dry.  For the shading around the image I used distress inks in Stormy Sky and Old Paper.  The sentiment is a retired from Stamping Bella; again I used the distress ink on bella's cream cs.  On the golf club I used a clear glaze pen to make it look like an metal shaft not the new graphite shafts.

Don't forget to play along with Bellariffic Fridays this week; it's a sketch (my favourite challenge!)  Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included

Dancing Flowers

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge was to use flowers - in your image, paper or embellishment.  I went with the image & paper inking up Em's Dancing Daffodils from the April release.

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream cs and coloured with pencils and gamsol. For the colours in the flowers I went with the yellow and orange shades in the Fabrications Teresa Colin Canvas dp.  I added some black glitter on the centre of the flowers. After using pencils and gamsol and distress ink in evergreen bough around the image I added some glitter.

Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge is a Sketch from the wonderful Ebruabella.  Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included next week

Lolly

It's a Sweet Sunday Sketch Sunday  (SSSC157) and Karen had another fabulous sketch for us.

I wanted to ink up one of the new Uptown Girls from Stamping Bella's March release so I flipped the sketch.  Here is Lolly and her Brolly.....

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream cs and coloured with copics.  As soon as I stamped the image I was thinking about what I could paper piece - I decided on the umbrella and part of her boots.  Since there are so many fun styles of rubber boots out there now I thought she should have some too.  The ds paper is MME's Quite Contrary Jack & Jill.  On the trim of the umbrella; jacket and boots I used a yellow atyou spica pen.  On the planter I added some shine with a clear glaze pen.  The grass and the shading around the image is done with pencils and gamsol.  I added some glitter for the rain.  The flower is MFT's flower trio and leaf trio die with a button in the centre.  For the banner I used MFT's first place banner die.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers AND our guest designer blogs to see their creations.  If you can play along with us remember to link your card on Karen's blog for a chance to be a Guest Designer

Ramona and Teddy

Sorry this is late for some reason I forgot to hit "publish" when I wrote my post!!

Happy Friday - I hope everyone had a great week!  This weeks BellaRiffic Fridays theme was another fabulous sketch from our very own Ebruabella.

For my card I inked up Ramona and Teddy in their Balloon from the March Stamping Bella release.

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white cs and coloured with copics.  I shaded around the image using pencils and gamsol.  For the glitter on the balloon I used orange stickles and crystal stickles.  The ds paper is MME's On the Bright Side-one.  The 3 balloons are TCPs cloud border in felt and cut the sizes I needed.

Frosty & Fabulous....

Happy Wednesday - I actually managed to sit down today and play along with MFTWSC68.

For my card I decided it was time to get another holiday card done so I inked up MFT's PI Frosty & Fabulous Snowman; I may have been inspired by the attempt of snow again today!

The image is coloured with copics, his hat is paper pieced from the dp Basic Greys Nordic Holiday.  The shading around the image is done with pencils and gamsol. I added some glitter around the snowman.  The snowflake is MFT's snowflake die-namic with a rhinestone in the centre

Share a Cafe...

Today I have one of the original Uptown Girl images from Stamping Bella to share with you Clarissa & Camille Share a Cafe.

The image is stamped onto bella's bestest cs with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  For the green mug I used pencils and gamsol then copics for the circles.  I added some glitter with atyou spica pens.  The ds paper is Authentique's bundle.   For my card layout I used MTMEPPS56

Shower time....

Do you remember "hammer time"?!  I've noticed the pants from him are back in fashion - no thanks!!! ANYWAYS this weeks BellaRiffic Fridays theme was to make a shower card.

I decided to go with rain showers - I was hoping these would be the only showers we get this time of year BUT we got SNOW last night!!

I inked up Stamping Bella's Umbrella Peep onto bella's bestest cream cs and coloured the image with copics.  The umbrella is paper pieced with dp from Echo Parks This & That.  I added some tiny rhinestones for the buttons on the jacket.  For the layout I used Jen's SKFYTT from April.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes creations & what the sistahs have been up to.  Remember to link you card in the SCS gallery (BELLARIFFIC1412) for a chance to win a 20.00 gift voucher; you have until next Friday.

Especially For You

Happy Wednesday I hope you are all having a great week!  Today is the start of the hockey playoffs so I'm a happy girl stamping and watching the games!

I played along with the Freshly Made Sketch from today (FMS30) while watching my first hockey game (there's 3 on tonight)

I decided it was time to ink up sweet Millie from Millie and Milo exchanging prezzies from Stamping Bella's February release.  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics and shaded with pencils and gamsol.  The balloon is the reverse side of the dp I used for the panel from MME Miss Caroline's Dolled UP.  For the centre of the flower and the pony tail clips I used some tiny rhinestones.  On the base layer cs I used cuttlebugs swiss dots embossing folder (one of my favourites)   And shock of all shocks I added a sentiment panel.

You still have a few hours to get your card to Em for this weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge - a shower card.  Can be any type of shower you want.   Email your cards to Em by Thursday evening to be included on Bloggabella AND add your card to the SCS gallery (BELLARIFFIC1412)  for a chance to win a 20.00 Stamping Bella voucher.

Sweet Sunday Dreams

Happy Easter - I hope all who celebrate have a wonderful day.  Karen has another fabulous sketch for us this week (SSSC156).  You have 2 weeks to play along with us, and a chance to be invited to be a guest designer

OK this sketch was challenging for me - Lynn inspired this sketch & it looks lovely but really what was she thinking?!  After much pondering (also known as procrastination) I had a light bulb moment and inked up MFT's vertical greetings

I stamped the sentiment on cream cs then mounted it on the vertical greetings die-namic.  For the vertical pieces I again had a to think how I was going to make the banners.  For these I used MFT die-namics first place ribbon.  I pieced the strips under the ribbon scallop piece to make it long enough.   The DP is lily beedesgins Happily Lost

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and remember to link you card on Karen's blog if you are able to play along with us

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!!

Butterfly Wishes

Happy Good Friday to all who celebrate!  Today's Bellariffic Fridays theme was a sketch from our wonderful Eburabella and we have a new Babe in da house!!  Please welcome Natasha to the babe team AND to the blogging world!!

My card was inspired by the dp I chose - MME's Miss Caroline All Dolled UP.  As soon as I a saw the butterflies I knew which image I was going to ink up this week.

Miss Gertie LuLu is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white cs and coloured with copics.  Along the fringe of her skirt I added some shine with a gelly roll pen.  I added a flower die cut out of the cs and the dp paper and added a button to finish off the sketch, and I didn't add the sentiment panel; which really isn't surprising for me!

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the creations for this weeks theme and remember to link your card on SCS (BELLARIFFIC1312)for a chance to win a 20.00 gift voucher in addition to the prizes Em gives on her blog.

Next weeks theme is Showers - this can be a wedding shower card, baby shower card, image with showers whatever inspires you -  Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella

Group Hug

I've realized that I haven't made many Christmas cards yet this year; so come October I'm going to be in trouble!  So as you've probably guessed I have Holiday card to share with you!
Actually this card is more fitting then you think since we are under a winter storm advisory tonight through Thursday!!  The joys of spring in Alberta.

For my card I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch 45 for my layout.  The stamp is Stamping Bella's Group Hug.  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white cs and coloured with copics.  I added a little glitter on the bodies of the snowmen.

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is a sketch - you still have time to email your card to Emily by Thursday and remember to link you card to the SCS gallery (BELLARIFFIC1312) for a chance to win a 20.00 gift voucher.
