A Late SSSC194

Karen had another fabulous sketch for us this week (not next duh!!!) and I knew right away it would be perfect for a birthday card for my nephew.  I did have to flip the layering on 2 of the panels to make it work for me, I know it's so shocking that I switched the sketch a little!

I used MFT's Happy Birthday Die-namics and the dp is MME's Boy Crazy

If you play along with this weeks sketch remember to link your card on Karen's blog and if you haven't already stopped by the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs please do so

Sweet Sunday SSSC194

I'm a dork.  I was sure our Sweet Sunday post was for next week so instead of making a card this week I was busy canning pears and doing all sorts of other stuff because I had another week.....then as I was getting ready to go to a wedding on Saturday I realized it was this Sunday.  Yes I'm a dork who will have her Sweet Sunday194 card late.

Remember if you play along with us link your card on Karen's blog and please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketchers blogs to see their creations

Monochromatic Friday

Today's Bellariffic Fridays challenge was to make a monochromatic card.  Normally challenges like this stump me, but I need a wedding card for this weekend and this was the perfect challenge for me.

I used Stamping Bella's Uptown Couple Brett and Brenda get Married for my monochromatic white card.  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white card stock and coloured/shaded with copics.  I cut the image out and mounted it onto white card stock that was embossed with modern wallpaper.  I kept the card clean and simple.

Next weeks theme is a sketch - email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella

Eve

Today's Bellariffic Fridays theme was a sketch and I stuck to the sketch, well except for the fact that mine isn't a square card, but aside from that I stuck to it-  that's good right?!

For my card I inked up one of my favourite holiday images - Uptown Girl Eve under the Mistletoe.

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white cardstock and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her dress with MME's mistletoe magic design paper.  I then coloured and paper pieced the belt.

Em is continuing the free shipping for Bella orders this weekend, BUT she has run out of the Seniorita's!!  She's ordered more rubbah so take advantage of the free shipping and she will send them out as soon as she gets them!

Wanda....

For the last 2 weeks hubby and I were on vacation, which was fabulous but then Em sent the email a release was coming WHAT?!  I was so bummed I couldn't share the sneak peeks and was stalking Bloggabella when I had wifi to see the release.  Then there I was quickly placing my order in the Dubrovnik, Croatia airport (thankful for the wifi) because I couldn't wait to get my hand on those Senioritas.  Em and Christine really did an amazing job creating these images!

I begged, whined and begged again to have an image to share with you this week and Em sent me the wonderful WANDA.

OMG I LOVE her!!  I had to give her the over blushed cheeks and the bright lipstick.  I remember all my one Grandma's friends and their very pink cheeks.  I chose the MWAHHHHH sentiment that comes with the image - it just makes me smile!

I wanted to share a couple of photos from my vacation, these were taken with my phone I haven't loaded the hundreds I took on my camera yet!  Hubby had a meeting in Ljubljana Slovenia which is BEAUTIFUL.  We climbed up to the castle above the city (instead of taking the tram, seemed like a good idea at the start!) and then climbed to the top of the tower on the castle to get an amazing view of the city.

From there we went to Dubrovnik Croatia, again simply stunning - I loved being over there, but the 10 hour flight to and from is a wee bit long for me!!  This photo was taken from the "fort" looking at the walled city.

See you friday for Bellariffic Fridays -

Circle time

Todays Bellariffic Fridays challenge was to use circles on your card - a bit of a challenge for me!

I inked up Uptown Girls Victoria and Juliette's Night Out with memento tuxedo black ink and stamped them onto bella's bestest white card stock.  I coloured the image with copics and paper pieced their dress with Little Yellow Bicycles Fern and Forest dp.  I then continued the dp theme with the 2 small circles behind the image.  Added some clear glaze to their glasses to finish off the image.

Next weeks theme a sketch - email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella

Gliding by for SSSC192

For my Sweet Sunday card (SSSC192)  this week I decided to ink up a holiday image - Ramona love to Glide from Stamping Bella.

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream card stock and coloured with copics and pencils.  I added some glitter around her to make it look like snow.  The dp is Crate Papers Sleigh Ride.  I did vary a bit from the sketch but adding the button.
